Skating At School...

Remi's elementary school has skates brought to the school during some of the colder months for a bit of change in PE. Monday, was the first skating PE class. All parents were invited to help, watch and participate. Since it wasn't a school day for Roen, he tagged along.

I laughed the entire time. It was so funny seeing all the little Kindergarteners flipping and flopping around on their skates! Remi was thrilled that we came. So thrilled that he gave me a nose kiss and a kiss bye in front of all his buddies... this blows my mind! He won't even kiss me in the car at drop-off! He even hollered 'bye' to Roen as his class was leaving. I think he felt pretty special!

Remi is a pretty good little skater. Of course, he fell a lot but picked it up quickly and had a blast!

Like I said, lots of falling...

Skating is hard work, so when they fell, it provided the perfect time to rest! This is Remi and his buddy Henry...

Look at that sweaty kid! These kids were worn out!

Can you tell how completely mesmerized Roen was by this skating adventure....

His fascination quickly turned into nearly falling asleep in the middle of the gym floor, lol...

The kids get to skate 3 times this week, so I am thinking I will have one tired little boy who will be an expert skater!!

What a great activity! I bet they all slept well that night. Love the pictures...especially the one of Roen nearly passed out. So glad you get to participate and that you always have your camera ready. It's the next best thing to being there to be able to see pictures of the boys growing up. Thanks for sharing.
