Pumpkin Patch 2017...

Saturday, we squeezed in a little trip to the pumpkin patch. The local dairy just up the road sold pumpkins this year, so instead of having to waste hours in the car getting to the big, fancy pumpkin patches, we settled for a 2 minute drive and a quant, quiet pumpkin patch. It was perfect. We were there 30 minutes tops and the boys had fun winding through the hay maze, climbing on the bales and picking out their pumpkins.

Remi picked out two big pumpkins. Roen picked out one big pumpkin to carve, then a little pumpkin for everyone in our family... even one for our new little puppy! His little heart is always thinking of others!

We had the best little Autumn afternoon...

We had just come home from three football games and because they were so excited to get to the pumpkin patch, they left their cleats on. The boys have been dressing themselves (besides school and church) for a long time now and I always love seeing what they choose. Oh Roen.... he just picks something in every color and though he loves tall socks, when he gets hot, he likes to fold them down... his little outfits are just a sweet little mess! Remi usually does pretty good. Sometimes he walks out with a blue shirt and shorts that are the same solid blue, but I just smile because I know he really did try.
