After a long day of school, practicing spelling words, counting money in math class, remembering to walk in the hallways, there are many times that I pick the boys up, and we head straight to the lake. They run through the door, grab a life vest and head for the dock, where they spend the afternoon casting for bites, paddling around the cove. I like to sit on the back porch with a book, hot tea and watch my not so little boys, out on the water, knowing there is no where any of us would rather be. As the Cranes fly over, they park on our backyard, where the dogs can chase them and as the sun sets on the water, I am ALWAYS filled with a nostalgic feeling that life is just good...

These pictures speak a thousand words...but getting to see this first hand was even better. The sunrise and sunset didn’t disappoint! It was a fun weekend packed with lots of adventure. Thanks Davenport Family for sharing this little slice of heaven! ❤️
