Remi played Jingle Bells and Roen chose Deck The Halls. Besides the piano teacher's daughter, Roen was the youngest to preform and Remi was 4th youngest. They both did so good and watching them up on stage creating music with their tiny little fingers, truly was magical! There were so many older players with amazing talent- it was neat to see what true commitment to lessons and practice can help you achieve.
Each performer introduced themselves by name and said the name of the song they played. After playing, each one took a little bow before leaving the stage. This is the first time either of my boys have been on stage solo in front of so many people and it was almost more than this Christmas-loving mama's heart could handle!
Roen introducing himself
Roen wasn't a bit nervous and his little happy-go-lucky personality seemed to come out when he played. His performance was very sweet and made everyone watching smile! His little head barely popped over the top of his sheet music and his feet barely touched the ground, but his version of Deck The Halls was the sweetest I have ever heard!
When Roen went to bow himself off stage it looked a little like he was leading everyone in 'Head, and Shoulders, Knees, and Toes'. I was pretty cute and gave everyone in the audience a laugh!
Watching Remi play felt just like watching Micah. He is very precise and meticulous- getting everything just right. He seems to connect with music in way that feels as if his mind is in another world as his fingers play each key. I could have watched him play all evening long.
About 30 seconds into his song, his little eyes looked up from his hands for only a split second- but that is all it took to find what they were looking for- his eyes found mine and he gave the sweetest little smile as if he were playing just for me.

I am so appreciative to those who were able to come see the boys play. These little moments don't come around twice and having family there to be a part of their little world is so very special.

One of Remi's very best friends also plays and it was neat to see him preform as well

They have been busy boys this year! Which means you & Micah run the wheels off your vehicles, but it’s these performances that make every mile worth it! Remi and Roen look so handsome. I’m sad I didn’t get to attend the recital but it’s super cool that all the grandparents and one great grand were there to enjoy their first performance. Thanks for sharing! Loved all the details you provided. ❤️
