There really is something so very peaceful about being out by the water. When family arrived, the weather gave us a perfect day to be outside. The kids ran around, stretched their legs, climbed trees, explored, played in the sand and threw the football around while the guys played golf.
Can you see Remi hiding in the top of the tree?

The next morning, we woke up early, let the kids check out their stockings and then opened presents. After the present opening, we made a breakfast feast and filled our bellies.

Later that evening, we loaded up on the golf cart and headed down the street to visit the neighborhood Santa. Mallorie got a doll and the boys got a truck, football and playdough. This is just something a sweet little couple do every year outside their house...

Sunday, we loaded up early and headed over to watch the Cowboys game. This was my first time to watch them in the new stadium and it was so cool- the win was icing on the cake!
Of course, we did lots of puzzles after the kiddos went to bed. We finished three...
The kids broke into their new goodies and did lots of crafts...
(Remi's tiger scene)
(Roen's octopus)
They also practiced their swings at the driving range...
And, if you woke up early enough- around 6:30, when it was still dark outside, you could catch the moon reflecting on the lake and it was the perfect way to start the day...
Of course, when our time together was over, it hadn't been nearly long enough, but the memories are sweet nonetheless...
