This past weekend, the boys and I were upstairs working hard on their Valentine boxes when the door bell rang. When no one was there, Remi knew exactly who it was. He ran to his room, opened his blinds and sure enough, there was a whole group of girls running off giggling. It wasn't long until Remi had thrown on a sweatshirt- Roen following suit- ready to go find them. When the doorbell rang again, both boys froze at the front door, Roen waiting on Remi and Remi deciding if he was brave enough to face his giggling classmates. When Remi opened the door one of the girls sat on the porch, looked up at him and said 'Hi, Remi'.
She was flirting!
I knew every single one of those girls and have since they were in Kindergarten. And oh, how I love those sweet girls!
But, my little Remi still has his heart set on other things. Things like, basketball, Fortnight, fishing and sleepovers with his buddies. Girls are the farthest thing from his mind and though I know this will change one day, I hope he still hesitates at the front door for quite a while longer.

This melts my heart! It just doesn't seem like Remi is old enough for the girls to come calling. This Ding Dong Ditching is far better than toilet papering the house. I think it's sweet that Roen was right behind Remi. They might fight like cats & dogs, but they will always have each others back.
Thanks for sharing! Hope y'all have a great week and a Happy Valentine's Day!
