Easter At The Lake...

Every year, our little lake community hosts a big Easter Egg Hunt. They scatter The Lodge yard with hundreds of eggs. The Easter Bunny always comes for pictures- which my boys seem to have outgrown, the adults have mimosas, the kids play on the beach after they have gone through all their egg treasures and it really is just the very best way to kickoff our Easter festivities.

Last year, we started the tradition of all getting together afterwards and dying eggs. The boys were a little less interested in dying eggs this year, but they did about half of what I boiled before their attention went elsewhere.

After egg dying, the kids spent the afternoon out back in some pretty intense games of kickball.

The guys golfed, us girls ate our weight in pickle dip, chatted, and we ended our Saturday evening with burgers and hot dogs. It was a pretty perfect little Easter with friends.

That's a lot of eggs! Looks like little flowers all over the ground. Kind of sad when the kids don't get as excited about dying eggs. About the time they can dye eggs without having more or them than the egg is when they don't want to do it anymore. Glad y'all had a wonderful Easter weekend.
Love & hugs!
