We stayed on the largest island, Grand Cayman which is also home to what is said to be the prettiest beach in the Caribbean, 7 Mile Beach. We left early last Thursday to embark on our 3 hour flight to paradise for the next 5 days.
Upon arrival, we checked in and literally threw on swimsuits, unpacked snorkels, lather on sunscreen and ran to the beach as fast as our soon-to-be flippered feet could. We only had a few hours before dinner reservations and there was no time to waste.

It's always exciting when you finally spot the island on descent
When luggage was all accounted for, we loaded up and headed to the resort. We were greeted with rum cake and rum punch. Nothing like starting things off with a little treat!
On the walk down to the beach, my little critter man was already spotting lizards and on hands and knees trying to catch them.
While we got the kids into flippers, the guys grabbed us the famous Cayman Jack Pina Colada that we have been waiting months to get our hands on! It was creamy, frothy and as yummy as we thought it would be!
We ended our afternoon on the beach with some sandcastle building. I love that they still love to dream up elaborate castle creations and know their days of thinking this is fun are limited. That will be a sad day for this momma.
The first evening, we had reservations at a recommended local place called Calypso Grill. The food was great and it is always fun to see the kiddos all dressed up! I ordered the Lobster & Shrimp Champange and thought it was delish!
