Spring Break Day 3...

Talking Stick was mostly flat and wide open, making it a pretty perfect course for the boys, so we let them play their own balls. This course had very few cacti, but was covered in wildlife! We saw hundreds of little ground squirrels! They would sunbathe all over the tee boxes, fairways and greens! One little guy even hopped up in my cart trying to steal a bite of Payday! The boys loved these furry little critters!

With the boys each playing their own balls, it got pretty competitive, real fast. I was Roen's riding partner and if I'm being honest, I'm not sure who is worse when they are doing bad- Remi or Roen. Remi is a loud, mouthy, fuming mad, where Roen is an under his breathe, pouting, smack-talker- they can both make it pretty miserable when they want to! But somehow, someway, we always end up having the very best time!

After 18 holes, we sat on the patio and enjoyed lunch. The sweetest old man sat at a table right next to us and decided to give his day's winnings to the boys. I have a super soft spot for the elderly, so I thought this was the perfect way to end our afternoon!

On this particular day, we planned a special little evening outing for the boys. We took them over to Surprise to see the Rangers play at Spring Training. It was the coolest thing ever. We were so close to all the action and there was a pretty small crowd, so it kind of felt like we had the place to ourselves. We had a super early tee time the next morning, so we headed out in the 7th inning- what a fun time we had!

This day was pretty perfect!

We looked real hard, but never saw any rattlesnakes!
