Monday, the boys had their very first golf tournament of the summer! We woke up super early and headed over to Jacksboro to let the boys spend the morning golfing!
As always, my main goal was good attitudes. I always tell the boys that being mentally tough is what will set them above their competition. Remi struggles with this quite a bit more than Roen, but Roen definitely has his moments as well. I would say overall, attitudes were pretty positive.
Roen had a great round, stayed laser focused, remained in his zone and played good enough to take home 1st Place. Roen is probably the most humble little guy I know- instead of running his mouth, he lets his playing do the talking. This is where Roen shines bright!
Remi was pretty hard on himself from the get-go and had to do some self talking on the few holes that he double-bogied. In the end, he was able to pull it together in order to bring home 3rd Place. At the very end of the round, Remi knew he had been beat, not only by Roen but the other golfer in our group- both younger than him. However, when I saw him go over, shake their hands and tell them good job anyways, I realized that no matter who won what, these boys are learning some pretty important lessons.
I look forward to future tournaments with these two boys!

How awesome! Congratulations boys. Attitude is everything! I know y’all were very proud of them. I would love to follow them one day. You got some really good pictures. The one of the three of them walking away from you is awesome. Thanks so much for sharing! Just curious…do y’all ever have a “do nothing” day? 😂😂
Love y’all bunches!
