On July 21st, I made the very hard and emotional decision to say good-bye to Little Anne. My sweet Little couldn't see or hear anymore. She had fallen into the lake and almost drown several weeks prior to this decision. She kept getting lost in the house, running into things, and so we confined her to our room, where she kept falling off our bed, so then was confined to the floor in our room. I was terribly worried she would either get out and drown, run over or hurt.
Every night, I would scoop her off her little bed under our bench, and tuck in her under the covers, right next to me, where she would sleep all night. Little was my baby before we had kids and was a gift from Micah in our first year of marriage. She made every move and life change with us and was for certain the best dog I've ever had. I still miss her like crazy and I think I'll always wish for one more snuggly night with her.
I met with the vet the day before to talk everything over and make sure I was making the right decision. This gave me a little bit of time to spoil her, love on her and prepare emotionally to say good-bye. Both boys wanted to come with me and be with her as she went. Micah came along, he just waited outside. I would say this was hardest on Roen. When they sedated Little his heart broke and sobbed, big crocodile tears. He truly loved Little and helped me so much with her as she got older. Remi hugged me a lot, asked me if I was ok and seemed to be most concerned with making sure I was ok. Each of them handled her being put down in completely different ways, but I sure appreciate their sweet little hugs as we said good-bye.

There are no words to describe the love you have for a fur baby! They give unconditional love that never ends! It is a very difficult decision, but you know they are whole and healthy again! Completely restored, as they cross over the rainbow bridge. Thanks so much for sharing this very precious time with all of us! So thankful your guys were there to wrap you up in their arms, as you said goodbye to Little Anne!! She was loved by many! Her memories will live forever in your hearts 💕
