The boys liked our Spring Break golf trip last year so much, that they decided they want to make it an annual tradition! We love hopping around, exploring new places and different courses, so we had a blast figuring out where to go! In the end, we went with Florida for the sunny weather and threw in a bit of extra adventure for fun!
We left early on Saturday and after going back and forth from a looming 17 hour road trip or flying due to our flight being canceled right as we were pulling out of the driveway for DFW, we were finally able snag a quick flight later in the afternoon and were all relieved that we were finally on our way! It was a long day of waiting, making decisions and then arriving late at the airport, getting a rental car that was too small to fit all our golf bags into and then an hour drive to the middle of nowhere, Florida. However, we made it and that was the main thing!
The next morning, were able to sleep in a bit before heading down for breakfast before our tee time. We stayed at a beautiful golf resort called StreamSong. It really is in the middle of nowhere, which is part of it's beauty. It has three course, two different club houses and some of the most unique golf terrain I have ever been on.
The first day, we played StreamSong Red. This course was covered in water and sunbathing gators. I had an absolute blast tagging along, searching the edge of fairways and green for these critters! No matter how many I saw, it never ceased to give me that little shiver up my spine and that feeling of always be watched by gator eyes!
One of the cool things about this course, is that for a good part of the year, it is walking only. We weren't really sure how the boys would hold up walking 18 holes two days in a row, but they were champs! Of course, having your very own caddy made it feel a bit glamours and proved to keep attitudes in check! Pickles and Jeff were our two caddies for our stay and I loved getting to visit with them and learn golf trivia as we went from hole to hole.
Our day started off chilly and windy but ended with enough sunshine that Micah and Roen got some serious sunburns on their calves. Our first day really was so perfectly fun! I love being with my boys and watching them do the things they love most!
*In one of these pictures you can see the red hazard line marked right on the fairway and notice the gator sunbathing only feet away! You really had to keep your eyes open!

Yippee…you’re back and boy did you come back with an ADVENTURE 😬😬. I love all the pictures and it looks like a perfect place to say…ummm no thank you, I’ll be in the room! 😂. Dang, I don’t think those gators are going to see that red line and say “Oops, gotta turn around cause I can’t cross that line”! This trip might be pushing the limits on adventure and be on the edge of crazy 😜
Seriously, your guys look super happy and I’m glad you chase them around while they chase that little white ball! Keep the posts coming…can’t wait to see what y’all did to top day one!!! Love y’all bunches ♥️
