Meeting Benny...

Roen meeting Benny deserved it's very own post! 

As soon as I dropped the boys off for school, Pops and I headed over to Dallas to get Benny. She slept the entire way, snuggled up by my feet in the floorboard. Once we got back home, we pulled Remi from school early so that he could help Benny meet Scout. I wasn't exactly sure how Scout would react and having Remi there would be helpful in case Scout was a bit aggressive. Turns out, neither Lady or Scout were that interested. Scout didn't love Benny getting into her toys and let her know real fast who rules this roost. Benny has a sweet, calm and passive little personality, so really she has let Scout remain alpha and they now play and are the best of furry little friends! While we waited for Roen to get out of school and Chess Club, we let Benny nap up on Roen's bed with his lovie to get acquainted with his smell! 

Roen was absolutely smitten when he finally laid his eyes on baby Benny! When he opened the door and peaked under the blanket, he couldn't speak! He just looked at Benny with the biggest smile on his face, not quite believing he finally had his very own dog! I had to tell him he could pick her up before he finally got his first puppy snuggle! 

The rest of the day was Benny cuddles, dirt cake (Roen's favorite),  spaghetti and ended with puppy snuggles in bed! The next morning before school, I caught these two outside with their dogs and it melted my heart. Benny of course, rode with us to see the boys off for school and Remi was pretty excited that Roen gets dropped off first so that he could have a little extra Benny time all to himself! It think it's safe to say, we are all in love with this sweet girl!
