This summer, the boys joined up with the DCC PGA Junior League. This has been such a fun little organization. They have practices every week with their team and then they compete against other clubs paring up in teams of two. At the beginning of July, the boys had their first tournament and pulled out the win against Robson Ranch. In fact, every single twosome from DCC won.
They put together quite the little powerhouse team by pairing Hudson and Roen, competing against their two best recruited competitors. Hudson and Roen started off winning hole 1 and from there, tied every single hole after with pars. They played some serious golf and got the win!
Remi was paired with Kayden, an 8th grader from Argyle. Remi and Kayden made an awesome team, playing golf on much the same level and pulled out a nail bitter win. It was so close, that it literally came down the last putt!
Golf is such an individual sport, which I love, but it's neat that this gives them an opportunity to do it on a team. Besides the DCC team having two other boys from their school on it, they are also getting to know the other golfers on their team from other schools! They even wear matching polo jerseys with numbers on the back! I love everything about the Junior League and am looking forward to upcoming tournaments!
Way to go, boys!

What an amazing summer! I just love that the boys are doing so well in golf. It definitely is the sport that can make you pull your hair out, but I’m sure they haven’t experienced that…they’re way better than that! It’s always exciting to hear how they’ve done and they both have excelled 👏🏻👏🏻 Congratulations to Remi and Roen! I still think someday we will be watching them on the big screen. May they have many more long drives and short putts! Love y’all bunches 😘
