3 days after getting home from the Bahamas, the boys had a golf tournament in Mineral Wells at Holiday Hills. This was Remi's first ever 18 hole tournament with no caddy assistance. He has finally moved up into the age bracket where parents and caddies aren't allowed to interact with the golfers during their round. Since Remi couldn't have help anyway, Micah went with Roen to caddy and I followed along, watching Remi.
To say we were all a bit nervous is an understatement! However, hole by hole, Remi made it through, knew the rules, never lost a ball and held his own. He was the youngest in his age group this tournament, so he placed pretty low in his bracket, but I was so proud that we made it through! The comfort of having daddy by your side takes you a long way!
Roen ended up placing 2nd, just one stroke behind 1st. And after Remi finished his round, he declared that he actually preferred playing solo, with no input from a caddy! It was a successful round of golf for both boys!

Oh my goodness….that first picture is so cute! That should be in a frame somewhere!!! I’m so proud of both boys and how they continue to improve their golf skills. I love that Remi dug deep and actually liked playing solo. And clearly Roen has come back really strong after his collarbone break!! Way to go Remi and Roen!! One day I’m going to get to see y’all play! Thanks for sharing!! Love y’all bunches! 😘
