This August, I celebrated #39!
Micah loves going big on birthdays, so he planned us a little getaway to Fredericksburg!
We left Friday, right at the end of the school day. After getting unloaded at our Airbnb, we headed over the Cabernet Grill for dinner. They had a sweet little birthday card waiting at our table, which just tickled me pink! We ordered a bottle of champange to go with dinner, got dessert to go and once we finished up we spent the evening downtown, listening to live music.
The next day, we hopped on a pink limo and toured two different wineries. The first winery we stopped at was Becker Vineyards. It was a beautiful estate, with benches sprinkled about, a fun little wine tasting spread and a gift shop where I snagged some lavender tea.
Our favorite winery of the day was called Slate Theory! This place was full of modern luxury and just happens to be the newest on the block! This winery left no detail unturned! We got to walk down into the underground wine cellar where there were tasting tables setup in various rooms, quant sitting areas for wine talk, industrial chandeliers that set the tone for this hip and edgy venue and barrel upon barrel of wine, stamped with their design savvy logo. Each bottle is labeled with a design that coincides with a different mental health/ illness, making each type of wine bottle, it's own piece of art. I love this subtle contribution to acknowledgment and awareness.
After enjoying a little cheese and meat platter at Slate Theory, we headed over to downtown where we shopped the afternoon away. We popped into art galleries, sipped pineapple margaritas and fully embraced this cozy little slice of hill country heaven!

Hello 39!!!! There are so many things I love about this post, but at the top of the list is YOU ♥️
Second would have to be the pink limo…especially with the two hot guys in the back!! 😂. Seriously, I’m so glad y’all were able to get away for the weekend and celebrate your birthday! Fredericksburg is packed with so many things to do/see that it rarely disappoints. Excited to see y’all made it to Hondo’s. I’ve always enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing this special occasion! Cheers to many more birthday celebrations 🥳. Love y’all bunches! 😘
P.S….enjoy this last year in the thirties!!
