The very next day after getting home from Seaside, we celebrated Remi turning 13! I still can't believe I have a teenager! His birthday fell right in the middle of Homecoming Week, so it was a non-stop, crazy busy day!
We started his special day with a few presents before breakfast and school. Anne stayed in town just to get to be with the Birthday Boy and while I ran around getting Homecoming Booster shirts sorted and passed out, she stayed at home and got his birthday dirt cake made. This was a day that I was so grateful for that village! After school, he quickly opened up the rest of his presents and immediately set up his new microscope (he had a very specific microscope on his wish list) and was looking at blood samples. This boy LOVES him some science!
In no time at all, it was time to load back up and head to the Homecoming Parade. His day was non-stop busy, but it was a perfect representation of how this season of life is and even though it was busy, it was also a wonderfully special day!

Such a good looking 13 year old! Seems impossible that Remi is a teenager…he should still be loading up his little green gator and flying around the yard!! He had a fabulous birthday celebration judging by the smile on his face in all the pictures! I love his Salty Crew shirt…so cute! I’m thinking you other 3 Davenport’s need that shirt! 😉 Thanks so much for capturing his special day!! Next best thing to being there! Y’all hang on for the ride…next up will be high school graduation 😬
Love y’all bunches! 😘
Oh and just so you know…I’ll be there to visit on my next birthday and will expect the breakfast spread that Remi had! 😁
