Cabo Day 4...

Our last day in Cabo was pretty perfect!

Because our resort didn't have swimmable beaches, they had a 10 acre saltwater lagoon for guests to get their swimming fix! We decided to spend the morning paddle boating and paddle boarding around the lagoon. We also introduced the boys to tetherball, played several rounds of 'feet in the sand' foosball and the boys took their turn playing each other in deck shuffleboard.

We had our last afternoon reserved for an excursion, so after we finished up at the lagoon, we came back to the house and got our bags all packed up for our evening on the boat. As we loaded up on the boat, we passed by the arches for a last look and some pictures before settling in on the front of the boat for whale watching. This was a new experience for us all, as we have never encounter whales in the wild like this. It was so fascinating and almost too incredible to believe. We saw so many humpbacks blowing their spouts, arching out of the water and what felt like a show exclusively for us. As a grand finale to our watching, one of these giant beauties jumped, bringing it's entire body out of the water, where for just an instant, we were able to see the whale in it's massive entirety! Think the size of a school bus! It was magical and unlike anything I have ever experienced!

From here, we scooted on over to a beautiful bay area for the boys to hop in the water to dart around on the sea bobs. The water was cold and so initially, Micah and I decided we would leave the sea bobbing to the boys. However, I can't deny that listening to them zoom around the boat ended up looking like so much fun, that I couldn't resist. I think I squealed and laughed more than anyone, and even though it was cold, they had to make me get out- I was all about that 'just one more round'!

While we played in the water, our captain and first mate were busy getting dinner ready. Once the fun had been had, we got out, warmed up and were served my most favorite meal of the entire trip. The sun was setting, dazzling the jewel tone water, the waves splashing up on the surrounding rocks, off in a faraway place, tucked in the beauty of the sea, it was one of those moments. One of those moments where you think, this is it, this is perfection, and this is why I travel. That feeling that you can only really experience when you feel so small out in the world, while also feeling so full of awe and wonder, knowing that this exact moment can never be recreated, only remembered.

Roen took his very first trip at 6 weeks old and we have been traveling ever since. It's always challenging for me to put our travels into words that satisfy the experience, but when I look back over the years of adventure we have created with the boys, the one word that always comes to mind is magical. Cabo was so good to us, magical, the perfect dose of break from our everyday and a trip I will be reminiscing about for quite some time.

Saved some of the best for last! I think the word magical is perfect for all of the adventures y’all have experienced! You captured some really great pictures and those sea bobs look like a blast. I think whale watching would be amazing! It’s hard to imagine a school bus that could elevate itself to the height of being completely out of the water. It would be majestic! I’m so thankful for you and your ability to bring the Davenport adventures to life through words! May you and yours never lose your sense of wonder!! ♥️♥️
As always…it’s been a fantastic trip!! Thanks for sharing! Love y’all! 😘
