Last Day of School 2023...

One of the best and most anticipated days of the entire year!!!

The countdown began in April and as slow as the last week felt, it literally flew by! 6th and 7th grade were so so good to us! We loved our teachers and the boys worked hard in their school work and at being good decision makers.

As these boys get older, and enter the teenage years, making the right decision has not only become harder, but has also become more important. I do my very best to have the hard conversions, being transparent and open, as I guide them 'onward and upward'. Micah and I try and set the bar for these boys high, knowing that mistakes will be made, but that we will always push them to do better and be better.

We still lay with the boys at bedtime and pray together. They may seem a bit old for this routine,  but to this day, it is the most important and cherished part of my day. It is during this quiet time together that they ask the hard questions, that they share the things that are bothering them, that I get a glimpse into their hearts when they pray out loud.  They have such kind little hearts and truly want to do right in God's eyes. If I do nothing else as a parent, I hope I can continue to nurture this deep desire in them to please God always.

I love these boys and I love watching them grown. This school year has made me so proud of them in a million different ways! Now, it's time to reap the benefits of the year's hard work, with sunshine, friends and soaking up the summer fun!

What a wonderful school year for the boys! They started with a smile and ended up with a little bit bigger smile ♥️. I love the picture with the photo bomber…he was trying to get out of the frame ðŸĪ—. Cute picture. I love that you are keeping the routine of laying with the boys, hearing about what’s on their minds and in their hearts, as well as hearing their prayers! They know that you and Micah are always there for them and most importantly that God is always there too! They truly are never alone. 🙏ðŸŧ
Enjoy the lazy days ahead and enjoy that alarm not going off at 5:30 am ðŸĪŠ Love y’all 😘
