4th of July...

You all know how much I love 4th of July in our little lake community!

This year, they did fireworks and the parade on two different days. Although it made for an extended celebration, I did miss it all being on the same day... especially since we had plans to fly out early on the 5th. It was a whirlwind, but we survived, made lots of memories, swam non-stop, played tons of volleyball (in the pool and sand) and even got to enjoy some fireworks despite the monsoon that blew in. 

Because our house is a construction site, we skipped the lake and enjoyed the pool. We did pop over to the dock to watch fireworks (the generator wasn't working, so our plans to watch on the water from the boat was nixed) and even though most of them were ruined in the rain, we all enjoyed the short show!
