Roen just played in his first Kraken tournament of the winter. They walked away with one win and two losses, but playing against 5A teams had them outsized for sure! They may not win many of these games where they are up against bigger and better, but they sure are getting in some great practice!
In between games, we were able to pop over to another gym where we got to watch some of our favorite 6th graders play- I also got to sneak in some sweet Briggs snuggles. We were short a player for this tournament, so one of Roen's very best buddies from elementary school got to sub in.... it was so fun seeing them reunited! It was a bit hectic having a tournament that took up an entire Saturday this time of year, but as always, watching Roen on the court is one of my most favorite things to do!

Oh what an action packed day!! Tournaments are long days, but lots of good basketball being played sure helps!! I’m thinking Pops gets the top fan award! So awesome that he gets to be there to watch the boys play…whatever sport or boy…he is there cheering them on. Good luck to Roen and the Kraken Team!! Thanks for the pictures!! Love y’all 😘
