For the most part, I am going with 3 main colors in this house. I'm a sucker for crisp white trim because it's timeless and lends itself to the historic mood I love so much. My neutral is a subtle french gray and I am contrasting that with a dark charcoal. Most of my cabinets will be white, but I have a few places that will be dark and a few that will be stained. The underlying inspiration for the house is English cottage- I want quaint spaces, clean lines, masculine boldness with feminine details. It is my hope that most of what we have will transition into this house seamlessly. I will definitely need to purchase new furniture for several areas, but bringing in the old helps add character and hold the story of memories from past homes. It's no secrete I'm extremely sentimental, so as spacious as this house is, I want it to feel warm and full of life!
They finally stained the garages and poured the driveway, so that adds a few more finishing touches to the outside!
Painting has be S-L-O-W...... basically only the upstairs has been painted. They have started on the master side but still have a long way to go before moving on to the mancave side of the house. With summer here, we are all itching to be back on the lake ASAP. We are trying to be patient, and thankfully, we have a good bit of travel coming up that will do a fine job of keeping us distracted!

Absolutely love your color palette! The dark charcoal is beautiful!! I never really know exactly what room I am looking at, but I did recognize Remi’s work area. It turned out really nice. I’ve always heard that the painting is hardest part to wait on. They are definitely making progress. The garage doors turned out great! And the driveway is awesome 👏🏻👏🏻. That was a huge pour!! Looks like maybe Remi got to leave a thumbprint? I can only imagine the excitement that is building for all of you. Definitely getting close to the finish line. Thanks for sharing the update!
