Barbados Day Two...

Our second day was a golf day! We don't typically squeeze golf in on our beach trips, but this was one course we couldn't pass up!

Everything about this course was a treat, from the incredible Caribbean backdrop, to the sweet little monkeys roaming about, to the 16th hole, famous for the grass island monkey that sits inside the bunker. With only 10 tee times booked from 8:30 to 10:00 each day, this is a course very few people ever get the chance to play and the reason it is often described "like a ghost- often spoken of, but rarely seen." This is by far the most luxurious course I have ever been on, and I loved everything about it! Wanna make this golf momma happy.... just throw in a good dose of fancy! And just a fun little tidbit- this is where Tiger Woods had his wedding reception!

We ended our round with drinks at the equally pristine clubhouse,  and then headed back to the resort for another little dose of Fancy Nancy-ness.

Sandy Lane is all things English inspired and when I found out they had Afternoon Tea on the terrace, well,  I was sending in my reservation just as fast as I could! I told the boys that they could consider Afternoon Tea a part of my Mother's Day, and that they would be accompanying me! I am not going name any names but some were more pleasant company than others. I will say, I ended up sending two of them off to the beach bar because the level of hangry was far too great to be squelched by cucumber sandwiches and macaroons. I chose the Royal Tea (because who doesn't want a glass of champagne with their tea) and enjoyed every minute of tea time on the terrace, nibbling tarts, scones and sipping bubbles and English tea!

From here, we squeezed in a bit of beach time before heading to dinner at the waterfront restaurant, The Cliff. Our waterside table came with incredible views and even though the food was a bit on the 'too fancy' side, it was a fun way to end our day full of fancy!

Looks marvelous darling, simply marvelous!!! The course had to be so lush. Glad the boys were able to get a tee time. They surely enjoyed this “tee” time better than the later “tea” time! 😂😂. But hey, they did all smile for the camera. I’m thinking you dismissed your “oldest” boy and his mini-me!?! The cups and saucers are so cute. I love all the pictures and your water view dining table looks like the perfect ending of the day. Thanks for sharing all the pictures and for the fun fact about Tiger! Love y’all 😘
