UA World Tournament Day Two...

The last day of the tournament was definitely where he struggled the most. We ended up forgetting to give him his medicine (mom fail) and so his focus was not working in his favor. But he plowed through and kept that fun little attitude that makes him so much fun to watch.

As soon as we got home he hit the pool and then they were all three back at the poker table until dinner. We finished the evening with a little Netflix binging of Good Doctor, curled up on the couch! These two boys being sandwiched on the couch between Anne and I, had them in heaven!

Looking back, I know Roen was disappointed that he didn't finish stronger, but overall, he would tell you he loved every minute! Roen is a boy about the journey. He knows the success doesn't come without the work, and he craves the work as much as he does the end result. So for him, it wasn't necessarily a fail, just a chance to work harder.

For me, watching him fall short on his performance and still keeping his head up is what I love most about his golf game. He never lets his score affect the integrity of his game.

And as much as I love watching Roen out on the course doing what he loves, my other favorite part is sitting right next to me in the cart. Ya'll, Remi played hard in this tour too, and just couldn't make the cut. He would have loved to have gotten a chance to play at Worlds or even Nationals. But you will NEVER hear Remi complain about sitting out in the heat watching Roen. You will never see him feel sorry for himself or have a bitter attitude that Roen is getting to do what he is not. In fact, Remi cheers for Roen out there. He wants it for his little brother just as much as Roen wants it for himself.... and that, is a beautiful thing.

As much as this tournament is about Roen, I love that I get to see both of my boys shine in their own ways! This trip was wonderful and I sure hope we are getting to go back next year!

I love the way you are able to put feelings into words and this post is just that! You have described both boys…as only a mother could do. You and Micah have been the wind beneath their wings and will always be there for them! So proud of Roen and Remi! Thank you for sharing your pictures! Next best thing to being there 🤗. I did see you got an excellent picture of Remi’s hand 😂
Love y’all 😘
