UA Worlds has quickly become one of our favorite tournaments! This is the second year in a row Roen has gotten to compete at this level, and he loved every minute! He ended up playing better in his practice rounds than he did on tournament days, but that's just the way it goes sometimes! Anne, Remi and I flew in just for Saturday and Sunday so that we didn't have to leave the dogs for so long.
Roen wanted so badly to hit that even par mark! The fact that he didn't just means he is fired up to make it back to Worlds next summer. The boys will be playing in the Fall and Spring tours where they will have a chance to qualify for Nationals and then potentially Worlds. Roen will be bumped up to the older age group next year, so it's no small goal, but the boy has some serious gumption!

I am going to break this up into several posts because I took way too many pictures! On the evening of our arrival, we had dinner at Ford's Garage- it was such a cool restaurant! I was one happy momma having us all together in the same place.... and my little Ro was just as happy to have his momma close by! I have to say, when we walked into the house it looked like a Micah-Roen tornado had hit every room, lol!
This tournament is long and HOT! Anne and Remi were such troopers and were the best company as we cheered Roen on!

Such an awesome achievement to be playing in this tournament! I agree 100 percent that Ro has some serious gumption and a lot of determination!! The restaurant looks amazing. I know his cheering section was carrying him through the game and the wicked heat & humidity!! I hope you took some pics of the Micah/Roen tornado debris 😂. I know they were so happy to have you all join them! You are the glue that keeps it all together! 🤗. Staying tuned…love y’all!! 😘
