It's kind of like Anne (of Green Gables) said, "I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers".
Oh, how I love October!! Apple cider mimosas, spooky reading, porch sitting with a blanket.... it is a season that feels cozy and has me preparing to hunker down for the winter in one of my favorite places on earth... home! It is a month where I get in so much reading and finally get to pull Dollhouse Murders off the shelf! It is scooping into my pumpkin spice loose leaf tea, it is Micah's chili and this year, it was as much Stephen King as I could get my hands on!
One afternoon we went and found the boys out on the course practicing with the HS team, there are always lots of bedtime snuggles around here, AND after school love, Scout is always keeping an eye on the neighborhood from her throne, I was loving my little library visitor, I wrapped my first present of the season (that ribbon... swoon), Remi loving on Scout before heading to school, the cutest little ornament that Remi was not near as excited about as he should have been, an afternoon on the pond soaking up the last bit of sunny no-shirt weather, fall pictures that gave me such a surprise that I went ahead and ordered them as is, the senior pep rally with my favorite Wildcat gal, and a Halloween birthday party for Remi!
So long, October! You will be missed, but my house is now wearing all her festive Holiday decor and she wears it well!

Aww…I think your description of October is on point! It’s really a recharge month between back to school and the holidays!! The everyday pictures are always a favorite of mine. And the ornament is so cute 🥰
I’ll be anxiously awaiting the upcoming pictures of the house wearing her festive outfits!! Love y’all 😘
