NYC

This Memorial Day Weekend, we headed up north...New York City to be exact. This was my second visit and this trip pretty much followed suit with my first trip. Busy fun in a city I have seriously fallen in love with! With outings like the Guggenheim, Central Park and Annie the Musical, it is pretty hard not to have the time of your life! It was a great balance of touristy sights and entertainment New York style. Have I mentioned I LOVE NYC :)

Day one, we arrived at our hotel, and had dinner at Sparks Steak House followed by Annie the Musical. I LOVED Annie. There is just something so incredibly magical about watching children preform!

Anxiously waiting for Annie to start!

Day two, we went to FAO Schwart (this has become a tradition it seems) and then headed over to Dylan's Candy Bar. After buying way too many goodies at both places, we had dinner at Il Mulino and saw The Lion King Musical. This was my second time seeing this in NY and it was just as amazing the second time. Seriously brought tears to my eyes!

The Big Piano pic is a must!

Day three, we went to the Guggenheim Museum (somewhere I have always dreamed of going) and then spent the rest of the afternoon at Central Park. I LOVED walking around Central Park. I felt like a local :) We went to TAO for dinner and then stopped by Times Square to visit the M&M store (also seems to becoming a tradition) and stroll around with the night life.

Overall, I was a bit disappointed in my visit to the Guggenhiem. I am so thankful to get to finally see the musuem in person, but the main part was closed off due to an installation, so I feel like I was kind of jipped :( However, there was an exhibit of kids art that I found very endearing and of course, it can't go without mentioning, I got to see some amazing Piccaso, Cezanne, Manet and Van Gogh!

I seriously had the urge to do kart-wheels down this grassy hill!

Day four, I got up early and visited some shops on 5th Ave before we headed to the airport. This was so fun! I LOVE shopping by myself and it kinda felt like I was a New Yorker strolling around enjoying the long weekend.

This will always be a place that I will want to go back. I love the hustle-n-bustle, I love the luxury of the town and I just love way the city makes me feel! I Heart NY :)
