Swim Lessons....

I haven't updated on swim lessons in a while, but they are still going good. Next Tuesday is there last lesson of this session. They will start their Summer sessions the following week. Both boys will be advanced into their next classes. Toward the middle of this session, Roen started regressing a bit. Apparently this is very normal. He became clingy and did not want to go under. However, he quickly grew out of that and continues to swim like a fish. Right now, Remi seems to be holding back a bit. They are really pushing the kids to meet their goals and it seems to have scared him a bit. I feel sure he too will grow out of this phase with time.

A couple months ago, a photographer came to take pictures of Roen's class for the swim school's website. She captured some really sweet pictures of him! Once Summer sessions start, I will no longer do his class with him. He will do it independently with his class just like Remi, which means these pictures are even more dear to my heart!

In this last picture, Roen had just done his under water turn for the first time. I was so excited! We teach the kids to immediately turn under water once they are under water. We practice this by dropping them under water and saying their name to get them to turn toward the parent. This will eventually teach them to turn toward the wall in the event they were to fall in.

Great pictures! Such a small world, but it looks like you guys were in swim class with my friend Amanda and her daughter Audrey. We went to high school together. Your boys are too cute, & I love seeing all of your adventures!
