Silent Wife

by A.S.A. Harrison

I really had high hopes for this book and assumed it would probably be comparative to a Gillian Flynn novel. And honestly, I think that was the goal. However, I feel like this really fell short in many ways.

The story starts off strong. Gets you really intrigued and I found it hard to put down. However, the middle of the book was just too slow. I felt like the author was way too wordy and everything between the beginning and ending was really just filler. Thats what qualifies a good author in my book... when I am hanging on their every word... everything seems important and even the filler words keep me engrossed. I found that many times I was actually skimming over paragraphs just to get to the 'meat' of the content.

Another problem I had with this book is the physiology terminology and theories. Because I have not been exposed to educational physiology, I found much of the book unnecessary and boring.

Overall, it was ok. I wouldn't read it again, but it was good enough that it was hard to put down.

Hey, if you haven't read The Best of Me....Nicholas Sparks...it is awesome! I started reading it Saturday night, then read until midnight Sunday and finished it this morning. I loved it!
