All this wintery weather has most definitely put a damper on our house progress. I guess that's what we get for starting this thing in the middle of winter! Oh well, atleast we should have a roof and walls by the time Spring brings the rain!
I went out to the house for the first time in over a week. That is huge for me... sometimes I go out there more than once a day.... pretty sad considering it is about 30 miles from our current address :)
Anyways, they are still framing the bottom level (our house will have a very small upstairs- a playroom and an art room for me) but hopefully they will finish this soon and move to the upstairs. They started putting these greens walls up... have I mentioned how much I have come to love building materials?! When you are building a house, every little bit of progress is just plain beautiful!!
Anyways, for the first time, we walked (Remi was at school) through the actual house. It was really fun to see everything with framing and not just a slab. The slab makes everything look SO SMALL. I was glad to see our little shoebox slab grew quite a bit as our framing has started!
Obviously, this is the front of the house... a big front porch was at the top of my must-have list!
This is part of our kitchen. Through that little doorway is my pantry.
I know most of this is just jumble to most of you, and I'd love to say I would keep these building pictures to a minimum, but I am just simply to excited to keep it to myself :)
