NYC Day 2...

Day Two Itinerary:

We started off bright and early with breakfast at this adorable little doughnut shop, Doughnut Plant. And it just happened to be National Doughnut Day! We both ordered hot tea and I got an amazing cinnamon sugar cake doughnut... oh, and a cute t-shirt :)

Next we had a 30 minute Helicopter tour of New York City. This was fabulous! Not only was it mom's first time in a helicopter, but was so cool to see all the islands from above!

Waiting for our tour to begin

Next, we went down to the Financial District to see the famous bull since we were so close...

From here, we piddled around Times Square. We went into several broadway stores, the M&M store, the Hersey store and saw all sorts of crazy people like this...

We stopped at Jr's to have lunch and a taste of their famous New York Cheesecake. It was pretty tasty!

After going back to the hotel to freshen up, we had Dinner at Bar Americain- Bobby Flay's Restuarant. It was so good! I got shrimp-n-grits...cheese grits!

After dinner, we saw Wicked!! Of course, it didn't disappoint... in fact, I think this was Mom's favorite show we saw.

This night, we decided to walk back to our hotel. It really wasn't far, but we ended up on some pretty creepy and sketchy streets... we learned our lesson, though and stayed on the avenues at dark from then on!

This is the next best thing to being with you & Anne! I'm loving the pictures and stories. Shame on y'all for walking in the not so good parts of NYC! Bet that was the fastest walking you've ever done.
