A Book Fair Adventure...

Is it just me, or was going to the book fair one of the best parts of school?! I just remember how exciting it was to walk into a room full of colorful, brand-new books!!

So of course, when the book fair came to Remi's school, I volunteered to work three days. It was just as much fun as an adult as it was way back then and I think I ended up buying books all three times I worked (not only for the boys but I found two books for me). Remi's class never visited while I worked so I sent money to school with him. He wanted to know exactly what all he could buy with the amount of money he had... of course, he did... Remi needs to know the details of everything! I told him it depended on the price of the books but that he could probably get two little prizes and maybe 2-4 books depending on the book.

I seriously was so excited to see what he picked when he got home! Something about picturing my little Remi at the book fair with his 'own' money picking out whatever his heart desired... I just made me so excited for him.

This is what he picked out...

A Lego book with a little Lego man inside, a Dinosaur book with dinosaur teeth inside, a diary (which he was most excited about becauase of the key and lock), a shark book mark and golden coin eraser (which he gave to Roen).

Isn't it so fun to get to see what decisions kids make when we are not around to influence them!

He was very proud of his purchases :)

Well I'm so old we didn't have book fairs! Lol
I do remember that Kim loved the book fairs. It would have been fun to have been able to watch Remi as he shopped. Looks like he did a great job and it was so sweet of him to get something for Roen. Happy Reading to Remi!
