Halloween Begins...

With the boys being at different schools this year, we are going to have a crazy amount of carnivals, parties and Halloween celebrating this year. It started off yesterday, with Remi's school Halloween Carnival. Of course, the Cowboys were playing so I left Micah at home and the boys and I had a pretty good time playing all those games that bring you back to the 'good 'ole days'. Favorites of the boys included Plinko, Toy Walk, Putt-Putt, Go Fishing, and the Baseball Throw. We did every game once and then a couple of our favorites twice!

I have to say, I wasn't sure we were ever going to get there though. Back in August, when I was getting costumes ready for the boys, Roen wanted to be a red Power Ranger and Remi wanted to be a tornado. So, I got the costumes and we were ready to go. However, this past week, Remi started saying he was embarrassed to be a tornado and wanted to be planet Earth. In order to make things go smoothly, I broke down and bought the Planet Earth costume for Remi.

But, as we were getting ready for the carnival, Roen decides he doesn't want to be a Power Ranger anymore. So he puts on his rocket costume from last year and we were good to go. Until Remi started crying and throwing a fit about not wanting to be Planet Earth either. Oh, I was so mad. Between old costumes and dress-up clothes he had 7 options...7!!! Nothing was good enough! He literally almost got left and he cried and pouted the whole way there. In the end, there was a smile on his face, but he still insists that he now wants to be a Ninja! I am not looking forward to more fits about our costume in the upcoming days.



Roen really is trying to smile, he was just cold!
