The Caribbean...

Last year, was when the boys really fell in love with the ocean air. After our Disney Cruise, they were instantly asking when we could go back to the beach. So, Micah and I started throwing around ideas of places we would like to go.

Since this was going to be our big vacation of the Summer, we decided that we wanted to go somewhere we had never been before. We love the Caribbean. The beaches are beautiful, the water is perfect swimming temperature and there is just something about a tropical island that I will never be able to get enough of.

So, I googled best Caribbean vacations with kids. I found several places- and they all looked amazing- but we decided on the Cayman Islands. We ended up staying right in the heart of Seven Mile Beach and literally basked in our little paradise until we were burnt to a crisp. We also decided on only staying 3 days. Anymore than that and we were fearful that we would be pulling our hair out and have sour tastes in mouths by the time we got home. I have to say, with a 5 and 6 year old, 3 days was perfect. The boys loved every minute, we loved every minute, no one was ready to go home and in my book, that is a perfect vacation!

The boys woke up all ready for the beach. They were so excited, they could hardly wait and Remi in particular was pretty upset that we had to go eat breakfast first, lol!

Of course, I was loving this cute little setup they served with my morning tea...

As soon as feet hit the sand, the boys were running to get on flippers, goggles and snorkels! Theses little boys have a fierce love for the ocean blue...

And there was majoring constructing of sandcastles on this trip. Everyday, we built a bigger and better castle. Why is it so fun building castles of sand... I think Micah and I enjoyed it as much as the boys!

After hours of swimming, snorkeling, shell hunting and castle building, we had some lunch at one of the resort restaurants, went back to the room to rinse off, get on clean (not sandy) swimsuits and check out the resort waterpark and pool. After about 20 minutes at the waterpark, the boys were bored, so we swam for a bit before dinner. This was the only time we swam at the pool... the ocean provided far better entertainment!

All showered and cleaned-up for dinner...

For dinner we had Sushi and went to the highly recommended Taikun for the best Sushi on the island. Of course, when I tried to get a picture, Roen decided something had hurt his feelings...

Finally some sweet smiles...

The sushi was in fact, amazing!

With full bellies and tired kiddos, we headed back to the room and that is a wrap on day one! Day two was our day of true adventuring...

This place looks like paradise & I should put it on my bucket list! The beach is beautiful and the water is so clear. Fun in the sun for sure. Remi & Roen look like they are having the time of their life. Except when one of y'all hurt Ro's feelings. (hehe) The pictures are awesome....keep them coming.
