Just Like Their Daddy...

I always dreamed of having a little girl. Maybe with dark hair and eyes like me, maybe with her daddy's blue eyes. But I did not get a girl, I got two wild and wooly boys.

And I am blessed.

Not only with two adventure seeking boys who sometimes remind me of wild animals, but with a husband who has turned out to be the best daddy in the whole world.

Micah and I both grew up in the church and now, we attend the church he grew up in. If you come to Sunday morning worship, you will not see Micah up serving communion, you will not see him lead singing or saying the closing prayer. But when no one is looking, he will without a doubt, be in the library helping count the offering money.

When Remi was much younger, he would often ask where Daddy was. I would always tell him he was 'counting money.' In more recent years, Micah takes Remi with him to count. In this past year, Roen has started asking, where Daddy and Remi are and just as I did with Remi, I say 'they are counting money.'

Last Sunday, we had to leave church early so I could get to a baby shower I was hosting, and when I was passing by the library, this is what I saw....

Both my boys counting money with their daddy.

Ya'll, it melted my heart.

You always hear the saying that a picture speaks a thousand words....and no truer words could be said about this picture! This also triggers a song for me...none other than George Strait's "Love Without End, Amen"! Daddies don't just love their children every now then. It's a love without end, amen. (Momma's too!!!)
Ok...I've successfully teared up...so have a Happy Thursday and keep these wonderful posts coming! Love you all!!!
