Spring Break 2017...

Early, Saturday morning (4:00 am), we woke up and headed to the mountains. It has been years since Micah and I have been skiing. Besides the few hours I skied in New Zealand and few years ago, I hadn't been skiing since college. Specifically, the ski trip where Micah and I met.

Skiing is one of my favorite things in the whole world and I have been just waiting for the day we could take the boys. This year, we asked the boys is they would rather go to the beach this summer or go skiing over Spring Break. They both chose skiing.

We decided to go somewhere close to an airport so we wouldn't have to spend so much of the trip in the car. We also wanted to go somewhere we had never been. We ended up going to Vail, and it was the prettiest little mountain village I have ever visited!

After we arrived, we sat out on the back balcony having drinks and lunch. The Remedy, the little restaurant at our resort, serves hot chocolate that is apparently 2nd best in the world. We of course, had to try it! It was pretty amazing. After lunch, we checked out our room and then explored the little village. We did a bit of shopping, ice-skated and then headed back for early bedtimes.

(Micah always calls the boys 'Kemo Sabe')

When we came back to the room, they had left these little treats for the boys...

They also had this set up for the boys...

More mountain adventures coming up...
