Kindergarten Field Trip...

Every year, the kindergarten has a picnic lunch in the park and then heads to Dallas to visit the aquarium. Last year, I had the very best time with Remi doing this. I can't believe Roen's turn has already come and gone!

Monday, I loaded up with three other moms and followed the bus all the way to Dallas. Roen is my little ocean man. He loves fish, sharks and anything under the sea, so you can only imagine how excited he was for his field trip!

First the kids had lots of playtime at an amazing park in Denton to run off some energy...

After sliding, climbing and swinging, we filled our bellies with sack lunches...

Once we arrived at the aquarium, Roen ran as fast as he could from exhibit to exhibit, quickly soaking every creature in, hoping to see it all before having to get back on the bus! I think we were the first ones through, which was fine, because that left us plenty of time in the gift shop!

Of course, Roen was a very happy little boy when he found Dory and Nemo!

Roen loved the giant crabs, sea dragons, snakes and poisonous frogs... but his very favorite, were the sharks...

Roen was super exhausted from his big day and slept on the bus the whole way home!!

I might need to go on this field trip. Looks like a great aquarium filled with lots of sea creatures that Roen obviously wanted to see up close! All in all I can't believe that kindergarten is almost in the books....bittersweet! So glad you get to participate in these field trips (well maybe a better word would be "road" trips). They raise the bar for most schools. Glad they all had fun and that you are all back home safe. Happy Wednesday! Love & hugs to you all!
P.S. - I loved his lunch sack!
