Family Pictures 2017...

Last week, we did our annual family pictures.

I'll be honest and say that besides me, no one likes doing these pictures at all. The cooperation level that goes on is at about ZERO and we are usually done- start to finish- in 20 minutes. That is because after 20 minutes, the bribes and threats mean nothing to the boys anymore and they are knee deep in the creek or covered in sticky residue from the horse apples that have fallen to the ground. Micah doesn't understand why he can't wear a hat and I am stuck looking at the photographer knowing she thinks we are all crazy!!

But...

these pictures that I make my family take every single Fall mean the world to me. We started doing this the Fall before I got pregnant with Remi and I love looking back at all the ways our family has changed over the years.

You can't go back and take them and I know one day (when the boys are grown), these photo shoots will cease to exist at all, so in the midst of our crazy chaotic world, these little family pictures make me the happiest girl in the world...
