Roen will be one of the big kids in his K-2 building since he will be in 2nd grade. Remi moved over to the big 3-6 building and will be the youngest grade as a 3rd grader.
I have prayed hard for this upcoming school year to bring wonderful memories, lots of learning, and encouraging teachers!
But, more than anything, I pray that my boys will let their little lights shine, spreading little pieces of kindness around their days like confetti. This might be the year they lead their class in math facts, it could be the year they can run faster than their classmates in PE, or this might be the year they earn more AR points than anyone else. But none of that really matters, because in the end all I want to know without a doubt is that my boys will show kindness to everyone they meet, that they will be the most respectful student in their class, that they will never make anyone feel small and to know that these things measure who they are far more than any grade on a piece of paper.

It just doesn’t seem possible that they are 2nd & 3rd graders! They’ve certainly grown over the summer and look like they are ready to tackle this school year. I ❤️ the words you wrote...may your prayers be answered! Many blessings to the boys and all the students as they grow and learn this school year.
