A School Presentation...

Last week, Remi worked hard on a little poster about Jupiter. Though he did some at home, it was a project they did independently at school.

On Friday, when I picked him up, he said "Guess what, Momma?!" He went on to tell me that he did his oral presentation over his Jupiter poster that day. He said "Momma, the teacher said we didn't have to, but I knew you would be very disappointed in me if I didn't, so I chose to do it."

Remi has never loved getting up in front of an audience, so this made me very proud! I had no idea they were doing oral presentations and so I didn't even go over all the big words on his poster with him, but I think that is what made me the most proud.

And no, I wouldn't have been 'very disappointed' in him, and I think he probably knew that deep down. Remi is just rolling with a deep determination to let nothing hold him back, to prove he can do it too, and I think what he probably meant was he knew how proud I would be that he stepped out of his comfort zone, and presented on something I had given him zero help in.

Later, his teacher sent this sweet picture of him...

He looks like he’s got it all under control! I’m still not comfortable speaking in front of groups. Way to go RemiπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»
