On the Day Roen turned 8...

Roen had to share his special day with me since his birthday fell on Mother's Day this year, but he didn't seem to mind. We skipped church so that we could spend the morning opening presents and making the morning about him. We started the morning off with presents as soon as he woke up. Micah and I got him a Babe Ruth bobblehead, some vintage baseball cards, new tennis shoes, some pool floats and a some school clothes. Remi got him a fun baseball bat and balls for throwing curve balls. I think Remi was as excited for him to open his presents as Roen was!

After presents and a morning swim, family came over around lunchtime for a 'Margaritas & Fajitas' Mother's Day swim party. It was a day full of cousins, swimming, birthday cake, mothers relaxing and the wonderful men of the family fixing food and serving. The sun was out and we were surrounded by special people to celebrate! I think Roen had a day of perfection!
