Spring Break Day Two...

Day two, we golfed our very favorite course of the trip, Gray Hawk.

This course was a whole level above all the others in every single way. The clubhouse was a little piece of heaven with it's own little breakfast joint and the best pro shop I have ever seen,  the course immaculately cared for, every blade of grass perfectly green, covered in giant cacti, colorful wildflowers and roadrunners, and even the first tee box was outfitted with a minibar of extra pencils, scorecards and ballmarkers. My little detail oriented heart was officially smitten when each player was gifted their own satchel filled with a course notebook, pencil and ball waiting in the cart. Not a single little detail was left ignored at Gray Hawk!

It also happened to be the chilliest day and at one point, a little rain storm blew in on us, which turned to a very cold sleet storm. For about 3 holes, we were MISERABLY cold. In fact, I can't believe any of us actually kept at it- especially the boys and I. We took turns trying to be positive and then veering over to the 'I'm so cold we have to call it a day' point. In the end, the sun came out, dried us off and we ended up having a beautiful day to finish off the course!

On this course, the boys did a scramble against Micah. I don't think they were able to pull off a win, but they gave it their very best! We ended our day with lunch on the pation, ice cream in front of the fire and then, a quick, chilly dunk at the water park before we got take-out and a good night's rest for round number three the next morning.

Here comes the storm!

You can barely see the sleet falling! It was so cold!

The boys loved how many holes this cactus had from being hit by golf balls!

Pretty proud that they got a 3 on this par 4

A fun filled day minus the sleet. I’ll just say y’all are some tough golfers. I would have gone as fast as the cart would go to get back inside. I’m thinking the fireplace would have been a great choice. The pictures are amazing and the sunshine did make for a perfect day. The cactus is huge....I’m trying to figure out what in the world was on that one with the holes...then I read the comment! Duh 🙄 Micah better enjoy these outings, it won’t be long until the boys win! Great day 2....can’t wait to see what Day 3 has in store! Love y’all bunches!
