Beach Vacation 2022...

We look forward to our family beach vacation all year long!

The summer of Covid, we had a trip to the Bahamas booked and ended up having to cancel, to stay in the US. Well, we finally made our way back over to Bahamas and loved every minute! We had only ever visited these islands on cruise when the boys were tiny little toots, so we were excited to visit this area of the Caribbean properly.

The boys truly do have a love for salty waters like I've never seen. There are times, as I sit back watching them, diving down, exploring, that I wonder if they will someday find careers in theses waters. They never seem to tire of snorkeling, surfing the waves and getting sand between their toes and there is just something so very magical about being a part of their ocean experiences.

When tossing around all the Bahamian islands we had to choose from, we knew we wanted something off the beaten path. We didn't want the big, loud, flashy resort experience, we wanted something more quiet, beaches to ourselves, a place where we could be immersed in the natural and raw part of the island. Exuma was the perfect balance of luxury and unspoiled sand!

The very minute we got to our resort, got our bags to the room, the boys were in their swimsuits with goggles, snorkels and flippers in tow. Micah and I followed suite and while he got the boys virgin strawberry daiquiris, him a pina colada and me a rum runner, I got the boys to the beach as fast as I could. It was already late afternoon, so not a single second was wasted before they took their first dive into the waves! They snorkeled, they collected shells, they played in the sand and just like they always do when we travel just us four, they immediately became inseparable!

We ended our evening at Palapa, the resort restaurant, with views of the pool, the palms and the sun setting on the Tiffany blue waters!
