Arriving in Deer Valley, Utah...

We just got back from our annual Christmas Break Ski Trip!

We love going as soon as the boys finish up with finals, before Christmas has arrived. There isn't anything more magical than the mountains at Christmastime! All the shop windows are filled with decorated trees, Christmas music plays all over town and little twinkling lights are strung from every lamp post and rooftop!

We first visited Park City back in 2020 and instantly fell in love with this charming, little mountain town. In attempt to explore new places, we followed our 2020 trip with a 2021 trip to Steamboat. We loved Steamboat, but in all honesty, never have we found a winter wonderland that compares to Deer Valley. So, when this year's trip rolled around, we were all in agreeance, that back to Utah it was!

Upon arrival, we unloaded our bags, got fitted for our skis and lift tickets (that are conveniently located right in our lodge), and then headed over to the ice skating rink. Micah popped into the shops to buy a new ski bib, Roen wore ankle socks and got blisters, so in the end, Remi and I were the last ones in the rink! Remi loves trying tricks on the ice and keeps busy skating backwards, jumping and spinning. I, on the other hand, love flitting around the ice like a little ice fairy, letting the cold mountain air swish my hair!

After we turned in our ice skating boots, we headed over to Fuego's Pizzeria, which turned out to be our favorite restaurant in Park City! The Shrimp Bake was to die for! The boys ended the evening in the hot tub... in their underwear! They weren't thrilled that I forgot their swimsuits, but nothing was going to stop them from a dip while enjoying  a mountain view from our porch!

*Stein Erikson's pastry team puts on a Christmas display every year, and this year, they created the famous Home Alone house made out of chocolate and sweets!

Truly a Winter Wonderland!! I’m always amazed how y’all can hit the ground running. The description of Deer Valley takes me back to Red River when you were a tiny tot!! Maybe that’s where your love for skiing began. Love all the pictures…can’t decide on a favorite, but the boys in the hot tub and the Home Alone Gingerbread House are vying for favorite ❤️. Look forward to the days to come! Staying tuned…love y’all bunches!! 😘
