This was Roen's final round at The Champion Course!
He woke up ready to conquer the course and make up for lost strokes on day one. Unfortunately, he never could get in his zone. We knew the storms were coming in again and by the end of the back 9, the thunder was rumbling!
As we finished hole 17, the rain started pouring and wind started blowing! Umbrellas did no good and even though we were soaked in seconds, we were determined to finish! By the time we got to the last green, one golfer was barefoot and we were putting through puddles on the green! Roen shot a 7 on that par 5, but he came off that green laughing and smiling, living up his afternoon golf adventure!
This tournament was the perfect example of how golf can just go wrong. No reason, just wasn't happening for our boy that weekend. But it also had me feeling so grateful that he so easily put it aside and found reasons to be happy and smile! We ended our day with dinner in Jupiter at Tiger's restaurant, The Woods! And of course, before we flew back home the next day, we squeezed in one more seafood restaurant!
Roen is hopeful that he will be back next year, ready for another chance to take on PGA National!

Oh my goodness!! Every time I see the first picture of Roen and his bed hair..don’t care I laugh out loud 😂. He does have an unshakable outlook not only for his golfing, but for life! Definitely something to be extremely proud of. He had one of the best group of supporters of anyone competing! Remi was smiling big drinking that coffee! Got his motor running 👏🏻👏🏻. Certainly ended the day drenched, but regrouped and looks like a perfect way to end the day. Will look forward to seeing both boys back next year! Thanks so much for always sharing your pictures, thoughts and adventures!! Love y’all 😘
