Decorating Their Trees...

I always love how cozy the boy's rooms feel when their trees are up- the tree lights give off the most magical little twinkles!

Roen has always been my little elf who loves all things jolly and festive! I'm sure at some point his enthusiasm over decorating his tree will dwindle, but this wasn't that year. When I suggested we go upstairs one afternoon after school to get his tree decorated, well, his little face lit up and up he ran! As we spread his ornaments out on his bed, Benny immediately plopped right down in the middle and started picking out her favorites to chew on. It was a constant battle of taking them out of her mouth, her pouting, then sneaking another one out of the pile, only to be told 'no' again by a giggling Roen. He was beyond tickled over it! Roen loves pulling out his favorites, talking about memories of trips where ornaments were bought and was sure to put his most favorites at the tip top where Benny couldn't get them. He took a break to lay on his bed and snuggle Benny after almost every single ornament he hung. Truly, we had the very best afternoon, getting his tree and room decorated!

Remi loves his tree being up, but Remi really has no desire in the decorating. I always make him participate and he kindly obliges to my taking pictures, but the only ornaments he really had any interest in hanging were his 'Scout' ornaments. He is a very busy boy when school lets out, not wanting to waste a single second of his 'free time'! I can't really remember what I had to pull him from to get his tree decorated, but he was sure to get it done as quickly as possible! In fact, he tried to put the topper on first and I had to explain, that there is an order, and the topper MUST be put on as a finishing touch. When it was finally time to put on his Scout topper, you will notice, that he made her sit at the foot of his tree so that she could watch him... hahahaha!!!

These boys and their dogs just crack me up...
