Roen's birthday falls during a very busy time year, so we almost always wait until summer to do any type of party for him. This year, his actual birthday fell on Mother's Day and the day of a golf tournament. So that he wouldn't be overshadowed, we let him have a friend spend the night for hamburgers, dirt cake, brownies and presents!
We also let him drive the golf cart a day early... sshhhh, don't tell! As a 13 year old, our lake community lets kiddos get their golf cart license once they go through a class- he had already done that and was just waiting for his big day to come! He of course, drove to the golf course for a round with friends!
He got a whole slew of fishing lures, a new rod and reel, accessories for his kayak and promptly broke it all in as soon as he finished golfing!! This boy had him a pretty perfect little weekend of finally becoming a teenager!

Sounds like an awesome birthday celebration for Roen! That dirt cake looks delicious…minus the worms 🐛 😂. Kinda special to celebrate your baby on Mother’s Day! I’m sure he & Remi spoiled you too!
