This was our very last tournament of the summer, just 5 days before our fist day of school, and is exclusive for junior golfers who live in our lake community. Because of this, the boys are playing with some of their very best buddies, which makes this tournament an absolute blast!
Roen came out day one and absolutely killed it, shooting his all-time best, a 69! Remi was from further tees and had more of a challenging day. He started off rough, but ended just 4 over on the back, giving him a 90 for day one. Honestly, from the tees he was playing a 90 wasn't too bad.
Roen came in day two ready to keep his momentum. He had one other boy who is an incredible golfer and he had to really fight to keep his lead. He ended his second round with a 73, giving him an overall 2 under par. This boy was on fire and brought home 1st place for the second year in a row! Remi struggled day two and ended with a 98. He did place 2nd, but really was hoping to break that 90 mark on Sunday.
I didn't get to watch Roen play, (because he was still allowed Micah for caddy and so I followed and cheered Remi on) but Micah said on day two there were about 25 carts following along to watch the excitement of Roen and Hudson battling it out. It sure is fun watching these kiddos out on the course!
And at the very end, I included a little 'then and now' side-by-side of the boys last year compared to this year. Goodness, they have grown!

How exciting!! Roen was on fire and Remi did outstanding in my books!! This is a fun tournament, and it sounds like Ro & Hudson had quite the gallery. You captured some great pics of all the young golfers. They have the round table discussion going on! Guess that’s the training stage for the future 19th Hole! 😉. And the comparison pic…on my goodness how they have grown!! 😬
