In 2023, I read a total of 52 books and so my goal for 2024 was to reach that and squeeze in a few more.
I am happy to report, that I came in with 65 books!! I even finished a day early and had an entire day to spare! I often get asked how I can read so many books, and besides the obvious answer, that I literally always have a book in hand or in my face, I listen to my books! I spend so much time in the car driving children around, that being able listen while I drive or fold laundry takes my multitasking to a whole new bookish level! I'd say on average, each book I read is about 50% physically read and 50% audio.
Now, to get to my Top Books of 2024:
1. The Wish, Nicholas Sparks
2. The Last Letter, Rebecca Yarros
3. Frozen River, Ariel Lawhon
4. Once There Were Wolves, Charolette McConaghy
5. Comfort & Joy, Kristen Hannah
Honorable Mentions- would read again and recommend:
*The Sign of the Beaver, Elizabeth George Speare (Children's Lit)
*Love and Other Words, Christina Lauren
*The Housemaid, Frieda McFadden
*Holly, Stephen King
*Chronicles of a Lost Boy on Christmas, AF Presson
*A Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens
I am a total sucker for Christmas books, Fantasy, Spooky and Children's literature, so don't be surprised when you see Sign of the Beaver or A Christmas Carol right beside a Stephen King book on my noteworthy list. I have a passion for books that doesn't discriminate in length or genre.
As I think about 2025 in regards to books- and lets be honest, books are a huge part of my ever day life, I am so excited and have so many Fun Goals...
1. Finish reading every Kristin Hannah book (my favorite author)
2. Start chipping away at the Nicholas Sparks book list
3. Read 75 books
4. Read the entire bible
5. Find a brand-new (to me) author that I can call a favorite
6. And lastly, I want to be better about revisiting my favorites. I have so many incredible books on my 'Favorites Shelf' and they definitely deserve a re-read
As always, I wish you all many days of Happy Reading this year!

I’m on book 3 for 2025 and it happens to be The Last Letter…I was excited to see it on your favorite list. No doubt you will reach your goal, so happy reading/listening in 2025!
