In this tour, they are in different age brackets and this means tee times that are hours apart. Remi teed off at 8:30 and Roen at 11:00. I started with Remi, watching his front 9, then met Roen as he was warming up to watch him play his round.
Again, both boys started amazing, Roen even on the front and Remi 4 over on the front. The back part of this course was absolutely brutal and neither boy fared very well. Again, Roen was able to snag 2nd place, but he was so frustrated with himself, he didn't even want to stick around to see if he placed. So, we didn't find out he placed until we were on the way home. Remi is struggling to put his front and back 9 together, and is letting his bad holes get the best of him.

I snapped a picture of Roen in the car when we found out he placed... that's about as good as my pictured taking skills were for the day! Below you will see a major risk reward payoff. On this particular hole, laying up before the creek was the safe thing to do. Had Micah been advising Roen that's what he would have said to do- in fact when I texted him thats what he said to do. But I told him to go for it! Laying up would make parring this hole real tricky. So Roen got out his driver (I wish you could have seen how big the eyes of the boys in his group were, seeing that he was going for it) and he absolutely crushed the ball! You can see how close he was to the pin! Missed his birdie putt, but was the only par in the group on this hole.

Well another amazing day of golf for these guys!! It’s such a mental game that many players just don’t continue. So proud of them. And way to go Ro 👏🏻👏🏻
